I am currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Syracuse University. Broad research interests are in embodiment, gender and globalization, cosmopolitanism, Hinduism, language, performance, race and inequality, and Yoga. My dissertation research is titled "Globalized Yoga in South India," and examines the labor employed in the contemporary production of Yoga in sites in both Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
